In 1935 Paris, a young actress, is accused of murdering a famous producer. She gives a very moving performance of an outraged closing speech and is acquitted by an all-male jury to the applause of many women in the public gallery. Now she can begin her new life of fame and success, until the truth comes out. The end of this entertaining film is a playful reference to THE LAST METRO by François Truffaut.
