Adieu les Cons /Bye Bye Morons (2020)
By Albert Dupontel, with Virginie Efira, Albert Dupontel and Nicolas Marié
In French with English subtitles
This gem of modern cinema is a mix of humor, poetry and a rebel spirit. A statement of human nature in a society lost in technology.
When 43-year-old Suze finds out that she's ill, she decides to go looking for a child she was forced to abandon when she was 15. On her madcap bureaucratic quest she crosses paths with JB, a 50-year-old suicidal computer programmer and Mr. Blin, a blind archivist prone to overenthusiasm. The unlikely trio set off on a hilarious and poignant journey across the city in search of Suze's long-lost child.
The film received 7 Cesar Awards: Best film, Best original screenplay, Best Director…
